Preparation
during winter and in Montréal before leaving for bike training camp
I did
not do much spinning or indoor bike trainer at home before leaving
for training camp..My motivation for biking was much lower than last
year (maybe because I ran all winter and already felt tired, on top
of having a slight knee injury from running) and I wanted to start
more gradually this year to avoid feeling burned out like I did at
the end of the season last year. In any case, my mere five light
sessions of home trainer and stationary bike at the gym were clearly
not enough until the week before my departure were I was lucky to get
5 Indian summer type days (20-25 degrees)...I jumped on the
opportunity and managed to accumulate a decent 160km outdoor before
leaving...Which, I though, was just enough to ensure I would have fun
in Dallas where I would take the spring training to the next level...
